10 a.m. – Noon
The Lansing Center, 333 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI

As the nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, democracy is still an unfulfilled dream, and at the forum we will explore history and share policy solutions that ensure a brighter future for Michigan’s kids and families. Natalie Foster, co-founder of the Economic Security Project, will serve as the keynote speaker. Following the keynote address, a panel of experts will have a conversation about the history of the fight for equal rights, ways Michigan can move forward toward the promise of democracy, and policy solutions that will help improve outcomes for kids, families and workers.
