Programming

Access to programming and other rehabilitative activities is vital to improving public safety, promoting humane prison conditions for incarcerated people and corrections workers, and reducing recidivism.

MI-CEMI works to expand access to programming in Michigan Prisons in the following ways:

Prison Programming Providers Table

The MI-CEMI Prison Programming Providers Table is a collaborative space dedicated to strengthening in-reach efforts and fostering meaningful, sustainable programming inside Michigan prisons. By bringing together organizations, advocates, and returning citizens, we aim to expand access to educational, religious, arts, and rehabilitative programming that promotes dignity, personal growth, and successful reentry. Our quarterly convenings offer a platform to share best practices, address systemic barriers, and coordinate advocacy efforts to improve access and consistency across facilities. Whether you are a service provider, volunteer, or advocate, we invite you to join us in creating lasting change.
