Tuesday, June 16, 2026 | 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
Capitol Lawn | 100 N. Capitol Ave., Lansing, MI 48933
Join Citizens for Prison Reform for its 15th Annual Legislative Education Day, “Building Bridges to a Safer Michigan: Advancing Justice, Supporting Families, and Strengthening Communities.”
This annual advocacy event brings together families, directly impacted individuals, community members, and policymakers for a day of education, connection, and legislative engagement focused on issues impacting incarcerated people and their loved ones across Michigan.
This year’s event will feature Priscilla Bordayo of Crime Survivors Speak and Cassie Larrieux of Safe & Just Michigan, who will discuss the report Debtors in Prison and the financial burdens faced by incarcerated people and their families. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience CPR’s model solitary confinement cell installation.
Families are encouraged to schedule meetings with their legislators or connect with legislative offices throughout the day using advocacy materials provided at the event.
