Safe and Just Signature Event in Lansing

Join Safe & Just Michigan for its 2026 Signature Event: Five Years of Fresh Starts on Thursday, September 3 at 6:00 p.m. in Lansing. The evening will feature Sheena Meade, CEO of the Clean Slate Initiative, and celebrate advocates and champions of justice.
Please arrive between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. The event program begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. A range of hors d’oeuvres, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, will be available beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The evening will include the presentation of the William G. Milliken Award to Representative Kara Hope, a Justice Warrior Award to Humanity for Prisoners and a Lifetime of Service Award to Ronnie Waters.
